Interesting overview of how maintenance systems have evolved. The shift from isolated CMMS platforms to enterprise-wide management really reflects how organizations have grown more connected. In my experience, using enterprise asset management software made it much easier to keep information consistent across different sites without relying on separate systems. It also helped me better understand how maintenance decisions affect the bigger operational picture, not just individual facilities.
